My background in student leadership, community development, and time spent in nature provided the initial exposure to communities grounded in awareness, compassion, acceptance, and connection. My yoga practice has developed into the foundation for nurturing these elements within myself.
As a student of yoga and instruction, I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2014 with Divine Light Yoga. My work and training in student and outdoor leadership has guided me through Santa Cruz, the East Bay and the Pacific Northwest. An Oakland native, I derive inspiration from poetry, anatomy and physiology, Northern California and its community members.
My instruction encourages a curiosity of physicality and the ways in which it serves as the most direct connection to the self. Emphasizing slow, strong, conscious movements, I hope to guide students in deepening their ability to listen to their bodies, and thus themselves.
